We’ve been on Halloween makeup watch on Instagram and we are loving all the amazing looks and tutorials some of our favorite makeup artists and social media influencers are creating! While it’s hard to pick just one look we love the most, we can’t stop obsessing over Brookelle McKenzie’s gypsy makeup on Instagram: @bybrookelle.
Whenever there’s an opportunity for a smoky eye, we’re not going to pass it up. A smoky eye is typically reserved for nights and weekends but since it’s Halloween, we’re going to make the exception! Besides, this is one look you’ll want to save and recreate again just for fun. To put together our gypsy Halloween look, we used a variety of products from Stila Cosmetics, Smashbox Cosmetics, Gorgeous Cosmetics and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Miss Conduct
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in True Grit
Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Soul
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Glitter in Beige
Gorgeous Cosmetics Colour Flash Glitter in Gold
One of the things we loved about creating this look was the use of glitter to dress up the smoky eye and give the lip a slight metallic finish. When it comes to this gypsy look, it’s all about playing up your eyes and lips. The darker your eye shadow, the better the glitter will contrast. When working with glitter, always remember to use a primer beforehand and tap it into the area where you want it. Notice how the beige glitter cascades beneath her eyes. Using a smaller concealer brush will help you place the glitter right where you want it. For our gypsy lip, we cocktailed Miss Conduct and True Grit to get a gorgeous, dark, burgundy fall shade. Then, to give it a little pop, we blended a little glitter into the lip. To complete our look, we added some drama with Ardell’s 111 Lashes in Black.
Have fun recreating your own look, gypsies! Share your looks with us on Instagram! #planetbeauty
