Met Gala Makeup Inspiration for Spring and Summer

The Met Gala was a week ago, but we’re still obsessing over all the makeup looks we saw trending among some of our favorite celebrities. If you’re looking for some beauty inspiration to add a little sizzle to your spring and summer, check out some of our favorite looks from the Met Gala.

All eyes were on Sarah Jessica’s head piece, but we loved everything about her jade eye shadow. Recreate this look with bareMineral’s Soiree Eye Shadow and draw extra attention to your eyes by smudging out your eye liner. Be generous with your mascara (or opt for falsies) and go nude/pink with your lips.

Selena Gomez looked absolutely radiant in her white gown and beautiful updo, but her red lip brought her look to another level. Carry a classic red lipstick in your purse this summer and bring it out when you want to stand out. Smashbox’s Legendary Lipstick is a great classic shade to own.  Complete your look with a cat eye and mascara.

Jennifer Lopez always looks bronzed and beautiful and we loved her intense eye shimmer at the Met Gala. Steal her look with Stila’s Metal Foil Eye Shadows and tap along the outer corners of the eye for a dramatic effect. Contour your face and bronze up for a smoldering spring and summer look.

Brown-eyed gals should take a page out of Rose Byrne’s beauty book because her eyes always seem to pop, no matter what. Her Met Gala look was stunning and her deep red eye shadow look complimented her gown perfectly. Play with jane iredale’s eye shadow shades in Red Carpet and Dark Suede and blend them together to copy her look. Make sure to use eye liner below the water line of your eye to really make your eyes stand out. Look for lip colors in the marsala family to top your look.
