Try Our Simple Spin On Harley Quinn!

With the release of Suicide Squad earlier this year, the Harley Quinn character has been front and center for Halloween costume choices! The edgy, devious character is open to many different interpretations and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to put our own spin on it. Since comic book characters evolve in their appearances, there really isn’t one way to go about your look! As with our Sugar Skull Halloween look, we used everyday makeup to create our perfect Harley Quinn look. Check it out!

Products used:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation

Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Miss Conduct (Perfect name, right?)

Smashbox Brow Tech Matte Pencil in Brunette

Stila Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palette in Body

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Bluefin

Our Harley Quinn look was inspired by the amazing and talented NikkieTutorials, except we opted for a more sinister smile to add that touch of deviousness. The best part about attempting your own Harley Quinn halloween makeup is that there is a lot of room for mistake and your look will still be awesome! We didn’t go the lipstick-smear-on-the-face route as we've seen on Margot Robbie and makeup artists on Instagram, but if you’re ever going to walk around with smudged lips, this is the perfect time to! Don’t be afraid of going heavy handed with your eye shadow color, either. The more dramatic your makeup, the better. It wouldn't be Halloween without a little drama. The same goes for your hair. Have fun with colored hair spray and don’t worry about having the perfect pigtails. This halloween look can be cute, but it doesn't have to be perfect and pretty.

Have fun creating your own spin on this look, Harley Quinn fans! xo
