We Are Loving these '90s Beauty Trends!

Like style trends, beauty trends have a way of making comebacks decades later, especially when they were popular to begin with. This year, we’ve seen the ‘90s make a huge comeback both in the fashion and beauty world. From plaid and floral skater dresses to leather and denim jackets, we’re feeling quite nostalgic for the ‘90s this season. Now, if you’re someone who completely embraces comebacks, then feel free to indulge in those Doc Martens and flannel skirts you bought at the thrift shop and still haven’t worn. If you prefer to pay homage to the ‘90s in a subtler way, then check out our 3 easy steps to creating a ‘90s vibe without going overboard.

If you’re not fond of plaid prints or clunky boots but love wearing accessories, chokers are the IT accessory of the season! One of the best things about chokers is that they come in so many varieties of colors, designs and materials. You can wear them alone or layer them and the best part is you can easily dress them up or down, depending on the occasion. Planet Beauty now carries l’eminence accessories at some of our locations, so you can find a cute choker while you shop for the latest eyeshadow palette.

The Three Eyebrow Trends To Master This Fall

Great eyebrows are a trend we never want to see disappear! The last few seasons have been all about celebrating your natural eyebrow shape. To help you stay up-to-date with the latest eyebrow trends, we spoke to the experts at jane iredale to get the brow-grooming tricks of Fall/Winter 2016.

Eyebrow Basics

Before you dive into fall eyebrow trends, here's a refresher on how to shape your eyebrows like a pro.

1.    Point A: To find out where your brow should begin, align the flat edge of a straight makeup brush to the outside of your nose/inner corner of your eye.

2.    Point B: Your true arch is found by taking your brush and laying it diagonally from your nostril to the outside edge of your iris.

3.    Point C: Determine where your brow should end by using your brush to create a line from the outside corner of your nose diagonally to the outside corner of your eye.

Your Brows New Bestie: Anastasia!

What frames your face better than eyebrows?  Um, nothing.  Eyebrows are crucial– so whether yours are perfectly shaped and arched or the victim of some at home waxing, your brows are the first thing people see.  Luckily, there’s an amazing brow company that has all the tools, stencils, pens, and tweezers you need to create the perfect arch– instead of those ratchet caterpillars you’ve been rocking.  Say hello to an extremely well known makeup company– Anastasia Beverly Hills!

Say it with me: AH-na-STAH-see-yah. Very good!  Now, let’s talk brows. Anastasia Beverly Hills’ mission is to recreate the professional beautyexperience in your very own makeup mirror. Their product philosophy is to create products that bring balance and proportion to help women enhance their natural beauty, using something Anastasia learned called “The Golden Ratio.” The Golden Ratio in itself represents balance and proportion, and Anastasia was the first to apply this principle to one of the most prominent features on the human face, brows. Her trademarked “Golden Ratio” technique creates balance in the entire face using the eyebrows as the starting point. Ideally, the face can be sectioned into thirds.  Furthering this idea of balance, the ideal face shape is said to be 2/3 as wide as it is long, and symmetrical on both sides.
